Comelit-PAC has supported an access control upgrade across the infrastructure of the UK’s leading sustainable construction materials, road contracting and building products business.
As a long-term customer of Comelit-PAC, the upgrade introduced a mixture of PAC 512 IP and intelligent DC door controllers to improve upload and download speed and reliability throughout their concrete plans and quarry, plus rail side areas.
The new access control network is supported by Access Central as a server-client system, enabling 500 access and alarm servers, featuring 512 IP controllers and 485 PAC LF readers.
On the support delivered by Comelit-PAC, the Facilities Team commented: “We have responsibility for more than 300 sites across the UK and a proud custodian of almost 200,000 acres of land. With this operation, we benefit from around 7,000 employees.

The new system enables centralised access control management, making it easier to grant or revoke access credentials promptly. This streamlining of access management boosts operational efficiency and reduces administrative overhead.
Visitor access can also be managed more effectively and on a remote basis, ensuring a smooth, integrated and secure process for authorised guests while maintaining the integrity of the site’s security protocols.
