The GDX Next Handset Expansion Units provide a simple way to increase system capacity for larger installations up to 96 handsets. Each HEU12 supports 12 additional audio, video or hybrid handsets as standard and can be expanded up to 36 handsets within a single enclosure by adding extra HEUPCA boards.

Description

The new GDX Next 12-way Handset Expansion Unit (HEU12) enables system expansion up to a maximum of 96 handsets. Each unit is supplied in a robust housing and includes a single HEUPCA module, allowing an additional 12 handsets to be managed. The housing also provides space for two additional HEUPCA modules, enabling a single HEU12 to support up to 36 handsets.

Connection back to the CCU uses a single 2-core cable, helping to keep cabling straightforward while reducing installation time. Each handset line is individually isolated for added reliability, and power is supplied directly from the CCU, removing the need for any additional local power source.
Every handset connection is individually isolated, ensuring that short circuits or cable faults on one line do not affect the operation of other handsets in the system.
Power is supplied directly from the CCU, meaning no additional fused spurs or local power sources are required for the HEU12 to operate or manage the connected handsets.

Description: PAC’s long-standing tradition of security integration is now extended to the Dahua Temperature Monitoring Terminal, which has functionality to check a person’s temperature and determine if a face mask is being worn when entering a building or area. The ability to secure the building and protect the occupants is a true value add for customers planning strategies in times when minimising the risk of infection and preventing the spread of the virus are critical. The recommended means of installation ensures that access rights for individuals can be dynamically managed. Taking an output from the Dahua Thermal Monitoring Terminal into the PAC access control system will withdraw access rights for anyone who does not meet the user configured thresholds.
